You weren't kidding about them being bigger than you hand, that Scoly looks like it could eat your arm. The brain too, that is massive!

What is that big squishy thing JJ, is it a doughnut??? It's freakin' huge!

I want to touch it.. lol

J.J
05-04-2013, 05:52 PM
yes they are a good size, and as we speak they are expanding more after feeding the tank. if i had the coral leaning completely against the rock it would expand even more but then unfortunately it would smother corals. i have lost a couple corals because they get buried underneath it and i dont notice.

J.J
05-04-2013, 05:54 PM
lol its sticky if you touch it

your not doing anything wrong at all, it might just be the flow, yours is very fleshy and fat so it is a happy coral regardless!

05-04-2013, 07:20 PM
oh lol... it looks nicely open to me, but I'm a newbie without any corals. How long does it usually take for them to adjust?

J.J
05-04-2013, 07:22 PM

fish finatic
05-04-2013, 07:32 PM

Mine does that sometimes too; it terrifies me.. is it normal? LOL.. I can see right through it.

It tends to do it the day after it's eaten. I always thought it might have had a base case of indigestion lol

J.J
06-12-2013, 06:01 PM
my lights are always off during the day so when i come home i feed the tank with the lights off then turn them on after- its very normal

carriej
06-12-2013, 06:09 PM
My clowns rub it when it's big like that too; so I thought maybe those little demons had something to do with it. Glad it's normal. Corals do weird things.

I'll have to come and pick your brain (figuratively, not literally! :emoticon (37):) in a few months when my tank is ready to add corals. I'm picking the tank up this weekend, its a 90 g.

It is really interesting to see their behaviors! It is amazing how much they can change.

J.J
06-12-2013, 10:06 PM
i agree i love it, and i love the way you can manipulate colors especially with sps corals which is what i am slowly getting. i think corals are sometimes even more interesting then the fish!

Oh yeah a salty monthly coffee hehe we can put a sign up, no freshies allowed...unless you're ready to go to the dark side hehe, I want my brain to do that

J.J
06-12-2013, 10:20 PM
I think it would be a great idea, we could do one place a month for coffee and the person could show off their tank and we can all just talk about different things

it could be fun

Celidh
06-12-2013, 10:54 PM
That would be cool! Can I bring diet coke instead of coffee as long as I don't talk about freshwater fish??? :emoticon (46):
