I've had this tank for months but just stripped it down and replanted it tonight.
Not sure who its gonna house yet, either my Yellow Shrimp or Crystal Black Shrimp. Likely CBS.

Setup:
Fluval Flora 7.9G
AquaClear 20 Filter
Fluval 25W Heater

I cycled the tank with media from other tanks.

Substrate: 7Kg of Black Flourite

Fauna:
None ATM, will add in some Ottos and Nerites

Flora:
Brazilian Micro Sword (Lilaeopsis brasiliensis)
Corkscrew Val (Vallisneria americana var. biwaensis)

Misc:
Unsure what the rock is

Still a little cloudy from the fluorite but it'll clear up soon.

That tank is going to look amazing once filled it...not that it doesn't look good now :) I really like the rock arrangements!

Well I have the very small amount of yellows in there now, and like all my shrimp tanks a couple of Ottos and some nerites.

Then last night I noticed some strange alien worm thing dancing around the tank.

I think I inadvertently breed ottos.

I only see a couple in there, but they're so damn small (3-4 mm).

Sorry for the poor pics, I need to buy a good 100mm macro lens.

Click on the photo to get the large size, then its below and right of the shrimp. Very small.

It better be an Otto otherwise its a mutant sea creature that needs to die.

Your tank looks awesome.

Thanks, I still think it looks like crap, should be decent when it grows out, and is infested with yellow shrimp.

I've never seen or heard of yellow shrimp. They would look sharp against the blue and white gravel in my 40 g I just set up.

Just a little update the Yellows are doing much better now, up to about 16 or so, the population should be self sustaining soon, one more generation or two.

I'll see what I can do tomorrow, most of my tanks are a mess right now, as they've almost all been replanted recently.
