    help with coral ID ,

    got this as a torch,I love it, but can't find any that look like it,
    anyone know what I should call this?

    It's a torch :) it looks like the one I have. They can very greatly in color/texture actually.

    It is euphyllia for sure. I never known torch to have nubs like that on the tentacles though. I would have guessed a frogspawn.

    I dunno, maybe were all wrong and they are frogspawns?! I love the world of corals!



    edit: I used to have some strange smooth tentacle frogspawn that had all the nubs bulboused at the tips! I sold it last week though... I'm sure I could find pics, it was the Limey-green I've ever seen! And the purple was really fluorescent too.

    No idea! I've never seen another one like it. It was given to me when I first started and It kinda took the back seat in the rest of my salty adventure..it's only the last few months that I've noticed how unique it was. Kinda regret selling it now lol ill have to try to dig up a pic

    It's a frogspwan not a torch
    56g sps reef, 2x250W reeflux 10K halides with 2x96w VHO super actinics, 20L nano lps and zoas, 108 FOWLR all tanks are sumped and have coralife superskimmers.

    See this guy, tentacles were soooo plump and thick, and pretty long...and it was completely smooth besides the ends were dimpled with the purple(not just on the tip) but completely smooth along the tentacles...only pic I could find sorry haha
