Fluval Flora #4 (PIC HEAVY) - Green Shrimp

I've had this tank for months but just stripped it down and replanted it tonight.

    Setup:
    Fluval Flora 7.9G
    AquaClear 20 Filter
    Fluval 25W Heater

I cycled the tank with media from other tanks.

    Substrate: Fluval Plant Stratum

    Fauna:
    Green Shrimp (Caridina cf. babaulti)

    Flora:
    Ludwigia repens
    Echinodorus tenellus
    Marsilea crenata
    Riccia fluitans

    Misc:
    Fossilized Wood

Waiting till the AC20 is run in before I take out the sponge filter.

The only issue with the greens is that they are hard to find in a planted tank.

Well I started with the 3 I bought from Suzanne.

I didn't think they'd actually breed. Such a small population, and the stress of the move, I figured they'd just die off. But about 2 months later, they started emerging from under the chain sword.

Now there is about 30 or so, and at least 5 are berried.

Might end up being a decent colony.

Now if I can just get my Yellows to breed and recover.

So glad it worked out for you and they bred... I was scared to ask because when you go the tank it seemed like they were all gone and I felt bad because I had seen some in there right before I sold them to you :) Awesome to see that they are doing so well for you... shrimp were not for me :)

Did you use just the one bag of Stratum? Deep enough? How did it work out for you? I haven't planted in mine yet but I'm wondering how well roots will be able to hold...
