Don't get me wrong its growing everything great, but it is more of a pain to replant, and I am getting the odd hydrogen sulfide pocket

Dirt is really great in smaller tanks, plants love it.
But it's a pain in larger where you want to redecorate, at least thats my oppinion.

Have dirt in all of the shrimp tanks and it works great, in smaller tanks you usually scape it and let it be, so then dirt is perfect.
Have been running the 14L IKEA vase for quite a while now(before I became a member) with no work at all except water change now and then, and the rilis(had crystals in it earlier) seems to thrive and the water is crystal with only an airstone.

Well I wanted to get some updates posted before I left but never got around to it.

I did find a couple of photos I took on my phone though.

One of the cherries on my HC carpet.

Well its in bad need of a prune, but no real issues otherwise.

Too bad its likely going to become my new SW tank.

Most likely, I'll do a big clean / water change / inventory tomorrow and post a for sale add.

Plants and fish first. Gear to follow.

All shutdown, and plants / livestock sold off.

Will return as a SW tank.
