thanks!!! there pretty awesome, like fish with legs and a triceratops head lol, they grow really quick gonna be in a 30 gal or a 40 long really soon, they grow a inch a month for the first 6 or so months and get 9-12 inches long. they really love earthworms and night crawlers, and trout and salmon pellets 2 i guess, these ones are one frozen blood worms for now. once they get big enough to do damage to each other we have to keep a really close eye on them and might have to seperate them. but for now were really looking forward to growing them out.

Interesting creatures. They had them at the Bayers Lake PU at one point, not sure if they still do.

    looking good.

Just FYI, the farmers co-op sells good quality trout chow, The smaller size can be bought by the pound dirt cheap! I'm on a waiting list for some GFP axolotls , was told mid/end of april i should be able to get a mix group black, albino & leucistics all carrying the GFP gene to start up a breeding project !

I bet it's trout chow lol

You can get larger bag's if you prefer. and in various sizes. I have a 40kg bag in the back room because i wanted the larger size pellet and they only sell the smaller size by the pound. I recommend going by a pound at a time. The food is high in fat/oil and not loaded with preservatives so it can expire/go rancid over time. better to stick with smaller amounts and buy fresh each time as you run out.
