So far so good, still pretty shy but got him to eat some shrimp yesterday so thats a good sign. He watches everything that goes on outside his tank and loves to peek around the edge of his driftwood at people in the same room.

Moved him downstairs with the rest of the fish and he is super active, swimming all over his tank looking at all the other tanks lol, can almost see him trying to figure out how to get into the other tanks for some sushi...

Fire a fairly strong powerhead in there and see the differerence in him.Rhoms come from fast moving rapids and love the flow...you'll be surprised and he'll grow faster

Quick question for ya tho if its a diamond rhom should its eyes be red yet? Im having a hard time to pin point excactly which type of piranha it really is. I think its a peruvian diamond rhom cuz its got the diamond like scales, but whats the difference between peruvian diamond rhoms or peru high back, or jet black piranhas are they all the same piranha or is there actually a difference?

Black diamonds are very sparkly under certain light conditions.
If they are not diamond Rhoms they tend to go a very matt looking black when they mature, the diamonds always stay sparkly.

They are the same fish, but the diamonds are regional variant, much the same as a Peruvian high back is still a Rhom, but indigious to Peru.

Its really hard to tell if its a diamond or not until he gets 7-10" cause they all look sparkly when little then will either stay that way or turn a matte gray/black.

Try to post a good clear pic of him...the eyes will get red with size providing its a rhom
