I am sure many of you have noticed JJ's March social thread. She is graciously hosting a meet and has invited both salt and fresh hobbyists!


Place: 50 Caledonia in Dartmouth
Time: March 29, 12-4


This is going to be lots of fun and I looks forward to seeing many familiar faces and meeting some new ones too!


There will be lots of salty stuff there! Both Dereks Reef shop and Maritime Reef will being bringing merchandise…..frags and dry goods!


There will also be a table for selling and trading items, which is always lots of fun for both salt and fresh!


Thought I would get this thread going to see what people plan to bring with them :)

If I am missing anything JJ just let me know!

Ok Ill get this started!

So I have some fry I can bring....but only if someone seriously plans to get them as it would be a long trip for the babies! I have:

Geophagus Red Head Tapajos, $5 each
Geophagus Altifron, $5 each

I also have a brand new, in box, never opened JBJ Auto Top off with a Toms pump, also never opened....would consider trade for Canister filter!

If I'm able to come, I'll be bringing a small collection of plants for sale, as well possibly angelfish fry and guppies to those that are interested.

I also want to mention that I have prizes for freshwater PEPs as well so that people solidly into freshwater won't feel left out by the saltwater there.

Here is some of what I have for freshwater PEPs

Kelp wafers 250g
Veggie formula 250g
Cichlid formula 250g
Community formula 250g
Fry starter 50g
Krill gold 80g

Krill gold,community, Betta bits 20g

This is all north fin fish food kindly sent to me for this event.Some packages I have only a few off so its going to have to be a photo contest:D

For the fry starter how about pics of your fry batches you are raising

Wafers how about pics of your plecos

Betta the same

I love Northfin and so do my fish :) Just to be sure about the photo contest will this be an online contest (and if so where do you enter) or will people bring their pictures with them to the event?

Let's do an online one if that's OK with you? I'll make a new thread for pictures and bring my tablet with me to the show to show off everyone's pics. Be prepared to get your pictures taken everyone!

On another note we have decided to make this a organisation to put these events together called ReefNiks. So on the coming flyer and directional maps in the hall you will see this name;this is the social

Brown Bristle Nose pleco fry about an inch, free
2 adult male Bristle Nose plecos, $5 each
Young Brevis shell dwellers
Frontosa fry 1-2" (contact for price and quantity, selling for a friend)

Macro clippings.... I have red stuff, Caulurpa Mexicana and some cool type of long sea weedy looking stuff. Contact if interested.
