That is a 60p right. I'm trying to decide how much aqua soil to order for mine. I think for what I want I need more than 1 bag

yep, its a 60P. I got the 9L bag, but I think I am also going to get some power sand to go underneath it....I may also order another 3L bag of aqua soil but still undecided

Those ehiem heaters are really nice as well. Just bought one from 1fish 2fish bout a week ago.

I like the eheim heaters so far myself. I bought two from angelfins several months ago. One as a spare and one for my 75. So far so good. I'll let you know when the five year mark hits (when most heaters start to fail-at least with me)

All my tanks have eheim heaters! I keep my tanks very warm 82degrees or higher......I struggled with other brands to keep the temp not only high but consistent, never had issues with eheim! A bit of a pain to calibrate but well worth it IMO. I just replaced the 300 watt heater on my 130 gallon, not sure how long I had the original though, been a few years.

Can't believe it has been a year since I got my ADA tank! Funny part is nothing really came of it until the last few months!

Normally when I get a new tank I rush, set it up partially and then get frustrated with it for not being finished. With this little tank I wanted to take my time, collect everything I needed to get it running and set up a completed tank. While I almost got there, I was in a better place for start up with this tank. I gathered C02 equipment, light, substrate additives, ferts etc.

The biggest hold up on this tank was the stand. In April I finally just went ahead and built my own. I wanted to stick with the ADA stream line look. So this happened:

    Dry fit-

    Finished and painted white-

Next came the substrate. I used the ADA substrate additives (Bacter 100, Clear Super and Tourmaline BC), Powersand and Aquasoil.

Then I planted it! I stuck with simple stuff, I really don't have a green thumb. The driftwood has Narrowleaf and Trident fern along with Anubias nana petit. I have Rotala, Ludwigia, Hygro polysperma and dwarf hair grass as a carpet plant. I am sure there is a few other things in there I am missing.

I have been happy with progress……and I haven’t used the C02 or ferts yet haha I have a hard time keeping on schedule for things like that especially with summer. Since there are no major problems in the tank I have not been concerned. I know it could look better, but Ill get on it more when fall comes and life slows down again :)

My Lily pipes (knock off) arrived in June, so happy with them :)

Overall I am very happy with it so far, and once I have time to get more into the finer details I am sure I will be even happier!

I have a hard time getting pics of the fish, but working on it! I have Pseudomugil Gertrudae Aru II....love the little bigger :)
