    DIY Spray Bar

It's Time to make a new Spray bar
    For my 135.

    Supply List
    1/2" Pvc pipe
    1/2" End Cap
    1/2" 90 Deg

You can use from 10" all the way up to 6' Length depending on tank size.

I used to make these back in 2007 when I had 20+ tanks on the go

Now for the Hole size, I will start with 1/8 and work my way up to 3/16" diameter. This will give great flow
    In my tank

    Only tools required

    Hack saw
    Drill
    1/8" bit to 3/16" bits
    Sharpie
    Measuring tape
    Ruler

I will post Photos This evening
And a step by step for everyone

    Thanks

    Joey did this in 2014

I did this back in 2007-2008
A lot of things he has done had already been done

If your spray bar is clogging I suggest you get better filtration. 3/16 holes would be very hard to clog especially if you have a canister. You must be getting some serious bad blow by

    Just a quick update

I have enough supplies to do a few extras
3 to be safe. Each will be 20" in length.

So the first 3 people to inbox me will own a new DIY Spray bar. If you are in the hrm I'll even deliver.

Keep an eye out as I'll be uploading photos of the 4
    I make.

OK so first pic is supplies and tools needed
I ended up going with 3/4" Pvc Pipe
1/2 is just way to small

I first measured the pipe at 5'. As I have a 6' tank
I then marked 1 inch spaces all along the pipe. And used a level to mark a center line. Can see in the pic

Once I was finished I used a 3/16" drill bit
And proceeded to start drilling the Holes (try to keep them straight and in line with the mark)

So now I have a pipe with 50+ holes
I had used 4 90Deg fittings. 2 were used as a hanging feature so I did not have to use suction cups

In the pic you can see how I made it
I had used GE Silicone 1 to fasten the hanging part of the spray bar together only. The spray bar it's self can be pulled apart for cleaning etc..

I had used end caps to cap the end off so no water can get out...

All told I had spent $25
    I got 2 5 foot spray bars
And a 6 inch spray bar
    With over 9' left

So all in all was a very easy build
Should last a very long time and get awesome water coverage

JMUNROE has one Just waiting on some photos and his thoughts.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my
    DIY Spray bar

Yup had mine dropped off tonight. It's exactly what I've been wanting for a spray bar. It's gonna diffuse the FX5 nicely. Gonna get it hooked up in the next couple days, take some pics and see how it works. Thanks again Scotian.
