I upgraded my misc community tank from a 25 to a 40 breeder and it looks kinda empty now. I was thinking of getting some rainbows but I've got one Indian dwarf puffer (Toby) in there and I'm not sure if they'd mix well. Toby does have a tendency to nip fins on fish he can catch but since I moved everyone else into a new tank he seems to be leaving everyone alone for the most part. The tank currently has Toby, 4 harlequin rasboras, 1 gold ring danio, 1 neon tetra, 1 neon goby, 1 panda garra. (Before anybody says anything about me having single schooling fish the neon is 6 years old and is the last one out of my orginal 10 and the danio got left behind when I sold what I thought was the whole school)
Puffers tend to do better in a single species only tank. Puffers are nippy and most like would chew anything they come across. You could always add more puffers!! :D
