So, another yearly week overhaul of one of the paper mills.
A bit different job this time, drilling holes in +50 year old supporting structure.
For safety reasons, look at the picts, the tiny oval hole is a maintenance entrance.
It's around 30cm at the wide spot.
Every year someone have to climb in and clean the cylinders, wich was probably fine in the 50's
But now, if something happens you have to get a custom built guerny in.
So to make room, we had to drill and cut the supporting structure.
Since the holes has to be 60mm diam.we had to use a 35lbs magnet drill attached horizontally.
And it seems like the castings differed quite alot in the 50's, some holes took 30min(less prop up time) and others 120min.
