    Do I need to re-seal?

After reading about VevePipes' re-seal, it got me wondering if its time to bite the bullet and re-seal my discus tank.

I'm not experiencing any leaks, but the black seal around the bottom of my 5' Hagen tank is peeling back. The tank is about 5 years old. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. :)

That does not look to bad.
If you can peel it back with your fingernail. Then it's time to fix.

Rule of thumb is every 5-7 years a tank should be Re-sealed.

Every tank I had ever bought I Resealed it. (Just to be sure)

I would like to add I had a tank setup for 15 years without any problems. It's personal preference
