Does that filter need to be manually primed every time you do maintenance?

I forget the model Eheim I looked at, but you had to manually prime each time. I ended up getting an FX6 instead since it was self priming.

That said, I hear the eHeim filtration is outstanding.

It has a 1 hp motor so she moves some water. In all seriousness itís perfect for my tank. Amazon sells one that has a 1/3 hp motor that be absolutely perfect for a 125. Itís a sandpro 35d

Btw. I donít use regular sand in it. I use filter glass beads. Regular sand filters to 20-40 micron. Glass media filters to 4 micron. Water stays crystal clear all the time. And so easy to clean if you can run a hose to a drain or have a drain close to tank
