Nothing came of it. Male just kept eating the eggs. I have a piece of flat rock that I tried adding tonight, but the male does not want me in the tank and just kept attacking me (which is not normal for him).

First time jitters! I am sure they will get it eventually :) can’t see the babies getting too far in that tank! Time for another ;)

I was able to add in the rock. I had to use a stick to distract the male. Katie helped by standing there.

My red spotted serverums breed constantly.Too bad they're both females.I sold two females. All four that I got from Spencer last year turned out female.I thought the largest one at 7 inches was a male by the pointed long fins and check markings, but it laid eggs.I have 6 red shoulder"Rotkeil" severums coming in this evening from Spencer;hoping to get a better mix.

This might not have been their first time. There is no evidence of what happened last night in the tank. So whos to say.

That's too bad, my green severums tried many times but no beans. I only have the male now unfortunately.

The babies wouldn't survive in the tank, but it would be fun to watch the little ones hatch
